Brittany Carter Named First Team All-Conference USA
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - - The University of Memphis women's basketball team has accomplished a lot of `first-time-since' kinds of things this season. The team has its first opening round bye and its highest seed in the league championships since 1999-2000, and Saturday morning, the Tigers found out they had a first team all-conference player for the first time since Tiffany Adkins in 2001 when sophomore guard Brittany Carter (Covington, Ga./Newton County HS) was voted to the Conference USA First Team.

Tigers Await Winner of East Carolina/Southern Miss Match-Up
The University of Memphis women's basketball team (17-12, 10-6) has wrapped the regular season and now awaits the winner of the East Carolina/Southern Miss game for the GMC Sierra 2010 Conference USA Women's Basketball Championships, Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m. The Tigers finished in a three-way tie for second in the league standings, but lost to both Houston and SMU, the other two teams in the tie, so Memphis will be the No. 4 seed for the draw, receiving a first-round bye on Monday.
